Hi, I am booked on the Breakaway European break later this year, and I have been looking at the luggage requirements. My suitcase is about 1.5 inches wider than the limit and I'm wondering if this will be ok or are they very strict with the limits. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to get kicked off the tour for having too large a suitcase.

The luggage requirements are reasonably flexible provided that you don't go way over.

More of an issue for most people is the 20kg weight limit that most airlines now impose, and that IS strictly enforced. A larger case is (obviously) generally heavier, when empty, than a smaller case, so rather paradoxically, a smaller case can allow you to take more.

Don't forget that the weight limit applies on the trip home, too!

Hi Temery, 19 more sleeps until I leave Sydney and 23 sleeps until the tour starts. Only 15 work shirts to iron before I go. It is getting closer and closer & I can't wait. I'll definately post something when I return, I found it a bit disappointing that there wasn't more on the bulletin board abt breakaway so I'll try to do my bit to rectify that. Are you interested in the tour? If you have any questions that I can answer when I finish the tour I'd be happy to help
