Hi everyone,

We lost contact information for our wonderful travel buddies on the Prague, Vienna and Budapest tour (April 17-April 27 2008). Would love to reconnect with anyone we met!

Hope to hear from someone!

MadelineA: Sorry I wasn't on this tour with you but since I am taking the same tour in 6weeks I would like to hear from you as to how you enjoyed it and what the highlights were. Please let me know if you enjoyed this tour especially about Budapest & Prague. Purvis

Hi,

Sorry I could not figure out how to reply with a personal message!

I very much enjoyed this tour. The people I traveled with, including our wonderful tour director, Neil, really helped to make this trip even more enjoyable so hopefully you will have the same experience. I was really grateful for the pace of the tour because there was a great balance of structured time with group activities and free time to explore things you wanted to see. Prague was my favorite city. Vienna was very cool and the hotel we stayed in was surprisingly very very nice. Budapest was nice but my least favorite; however, this may have been a combination of being tired by this point in the trip and i think that our hotel was not in the greatest section of the city. I really enjoyed the Terror Museum in Budapest. Personally, i thought the Gellert Spa (which many people recommended) was overrated. I did the following optional excusrions - Vienna concert, Vienna Imperial Highlights tour of Schonbrunn Palace, Budapest Danube Cruise, and Budapest tour of Parliamnet - and recommend them all (although i cant remember what excursion i did in Prague!) I also really enjoyed the Prater
big wheel" in Vienna. Enjoy your trip and let me know if you have any more questions!

Madeline A: Thanks for your reply to my inquiry. I was in Vienna last fall so have been to the Schonbrunn and to most of the optionals on the "Sound of Music" tour so am hoping to see Vienna with my son at our own pace and only pick the dinner optionals. I was pleased to hear that you liked The Savoy Hotel. It appears to be quite quaint in their computer advertisements and within walking distance of many places we want to visit. I was on a trip this past May-June "European Dream" and found it too busy and would advise anyone taking a lively trip to be in great shape. This new trip to Prague, Vienna and Budapest will be my 6th since June of 2006 so I'm getting pretty good at walking but the last trip was way too busy. Thanks for your info Madeline I appreciated it very much. Purvis.
