I was just wondering if it's possible to email tour directors through the Trafalgar site? I just came home from a fantastic trip but didn't get a chance to say goodbye to my TD... I was hoping to send an email to let him know what a wonderful job he did.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

(PS - TD was Aaron Morell)

Hi Rudy74,

I would suggest sending the email to Trafalgar and ask them to pass it on to the TD, for privacy reason they will not give out their email address.

Hi Ruby74,

If I may add a thought to Missie's suggestion (hi Missie Smiler), you could try writing a letter and mailing it to the TD, care of Trafalgar's London office. I think you would have better luck in the TD actually receiving a mailed letter than in sending an email. With an email, have to rely on it being forwarded to the TD and you don't really know all the hands it may have to go through before it may (or may not) reach him. A letter can be held for the TD or forwarded with "business" mailings etc. that the TDs pick up/receive from the office.

This is the address of the London office:

Trafalgar Tours
15 Grosvenor Place
London, England
UK
SW1X 7HH

Good luck and best wishes,
travellor

Thanks for the advice, Missie and travellor.

Does anyone happen to know the email address for Trafalgar (London office)? I tried the "Contact Us" page but it's been offline.

This is what we did with one of our TD's. We sent him a couple of NZ CD's, (plus other things). TT must have passed them on, as we got a nice thankful reply from him some time later. Mind you, there was NO HINT of his personal address with his reply Big Grin Red Face

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I will write a letter and send it c/o Trafalgar.

It's bothered me ever since I left that I didn't wait to say goodbye (he briefly disappeared while some of the group were having a farewell drink at the hotel bar) but I had a 2:00am wake up call... I should've stuck around a few minutes longer, I guess! He really did a fantastic job on the tour.

I had luck contacting my TD thru the Trafalgar office, he had quoted from a book and I wanted the name/author, well Trafalgar forwarded and about a month later (he was working after all) he did e-mail me back, so e-mails do work too (I don't e-mail him or anything as we're not friends, but it was nice of him to respond directly, I would have been just as happy to receive it from him thru Trafalgar too tho) Big Grin

Ruby74,
I am glad to hear that you had a great trip with Aaron, he is truly a fantastic TD. I am curious did he show you guys the tribal dance?

Hi CPG,
No, we weren't treated to the tribal dance... but now you have me curious, that sounds like something I'd like to have seen! Smiler

Hi

You guys are very lucky. Our TD was a disgrace...jaded and uninterested!!

If I were to email him, it would not be to say nice things at all!

SmilerWe were on the European Discoverer for 30 days last year and our TD was great - he made our tour with lots of info and looked after us very well. He gave us a page with the e-mail adresses of the tour party at the end of the tour - his included.

We have been on two TTs. The first a European one. although we didn't have contact details, the Td did give us all his cell phone number at the start of the tour for emergencies. I texted him after our tour with an interesting anecdote related to something he said to us during the tour and he replied in good heart with an update on what he was up to. Our Aussie TD and driver gave us their e-mail addresses. They have both been in touch since with an update on what's going on plus useful info for our photo albums. So evidently it is not policy but a personal choice.
