Wouldn't work for me, but there's the old saying - "different strokes for different folks".

Find what brings you joy and go there.

I am English not American and I think the Italians look at us slightly differently. Also, when I "gave myself" to the driver it wasn't anything serious. We both knew what we were doing and why. The guy I am seeing now is a driver but wasn't my driver. I have spent a reasonable amount of time with him and then he invited me to spend a week with him so we could get to know each other better. We have - and we both like what we've found out.

Just like to add that sure most of the drivers are married and/or have girlfriends at home. From what I know they are rarely (if ever) home during the season. My driver lives in Southern Italy and hasn't actually been home since the end of April.

I think I spent the best Sunday night ever last week tho. Walking hand in hand alongside the River Arno in Florence on a beautiful evening, watching the sun set, hand in hand with a gorgeous man ... paradise.

Go for it - who knows where you may go!!

OK, members of the "drivers' club" Big Grin, by the end of October, I shall give you a full report. Since I'm no longer any temptation and certainly no competition to anyone on the bus, I intend to both observe and interview our driver, whoever he turns out to be. I'm about to spend my remaining five days thinking of salient questions to ask him about "women on tour" whether nationality matters, things like that Smiler. If any of you have other pressing questions please let me know. I'll add them to the list. Big Grin
