Hi Everyone,

Just reading all your posts - thank you so much for your support.
Our insurance company has rejected my claim - before I had even officially put in a claim that is as I was awaiting a letter from my daughters doctor stating her injuries etc.
Anyhow since then have received the doctors letter and have submitted it to the insurance company with a letter so hopefully they may look upon it a little more favourably.. who knows

On a brighter note, Alison is improving unfortunately they did not take the brace off her leg as yet so she is still trying to hobble around with crutches etc. but this is not stopping her from enjoying life, she went to see Andrea Bocelli in the park on the week end
even thought it was in the rain, her friends took her and they had a lovely picnic lunch and some red wine and had a great time.
She has also enrolled to do some studies at home to give her something to do until she can resume work which is looking like some time next year.
Her eye is about the same and it looks like an operation towards the end of the year to repair the damage.
One funny thing to come of this is that the computer she had strapped on her back which took the brunt of her hitting the tunnel wall was given back to her the other day and she turned it on and it actually worked... she thought that very funny.
Our family are still trying to get our lives back together again, it has affected us all in so many ways, we seem to have good days and bad days. I guess in some ways this has changed us and the way we think forever. you never think these things will happen to you. Thanks again

Karalin-
Thank you for the update on Alison. I 'm happy that she is doing better, and that she is able to be out enjoying some things. I will continue to keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.

What kind of computer did she have with her? It must be a good one! Smiler

Take care and keep us posted.

Hi Karalin

I am so pleased your daughter is doing so well, Smiler I love her spirit she has got guts, a lot more than the dreaded people who caused all this damage, they are such cowards.

I pray that her recovery continues with speed.

Insurance companies are the pits, there is always a clause to get them out of paying Confused

I live in BC Canada and my son lives in London and travels that route to UCL everyday. I also got chills when I read your post as I was waiting patiently by the phone to hear if my son was on the train at that time. Fortunately he did not go in that day. I wish a very speedy and complete recovery for your daughter. I also hope you are able to come and visit my lovely Country.
